Spring 2010 Registration

For frequently asked questions go to the Questions & Answers page. PLEASE NOTE that the printed Schedule of Classes for Spring 2010 has outdated and incorrect information. For accurate information check the schedules on this web site or in Oasis.

If you are having problems registering online (after having your one year plan approved) please contact Kaye Pitcher via e-mail or phone (260-481-6362)

Use these class schedules when building your one-year course plan. To check for pre- and co-requisites use the bingo sheets (do not use the IPFW Bulletin which has outdated information).

Students should bring a current transcript and a completed one-year plan to their advising session. All advising must be done before December 11. No advising will be done during finals week or fall break. Students who do not meet with their advisor prior to Dec. 11 must come to Final Advising and Registration (January 4-7, 2010).

There has been a change to the mechanical engineering curriculum effective in fall 2009. This change affects all students who have not yet taken ME 387/388. The changes are described here and frequently asked questions pertaining to the implementation of the changes are described here. The changes to the curriculum are reflected on the new ME bingo sheet and the new list of ME technical electives.

A tentative scheduling plan to help ME students and advisors is given here.

Starting in the spring 2010, we will offer ME 253 in the spring semesters and ECE 387/388 in the fall semester. Starting in the spring 2010, ECE 382 will be replaced by ECE 333, a new multidisciplinary controls course.

A tentative scheduling plan to help ECE engineering students and advisors is given here.

The CE program is new. Please consult the course scheduling plan here to see the anticipated course offerings for the next three years.

Students that are ready to start their senior design project should visit the senior design web pages to find more information about this program. If you are planning to graduate in the spring semester please go to the following website and fill out the graduation application:

Students who are eligible for a minor should consult the department issuing the minor as soon as all requirements are satisfied to ensure all the paperwork is completed.

Meeting with your academic

All engineering students must have a meeting with their academic advisor before being able to register online. To find out who your advisor is, go to my.ipfw.edu.

It is recommended that you contact your advisor prior to the meeting so he/she can be prepared and ready to help you. Most faculty are not available after the fall semester is over. Students are strongly encouraged to meet their academic advisor before the end of the semester to avoid registration delays.

Bring to the meeting with your academic advisor a current transcript and a complete one-year course plan. After discussing this plan with your advisor, you will be able to register online
